About Rachel

I’m a French tutor with more than 4 years of experience and a PhD in French Linguistics, and I love teaching teenagers at a stage when language shapes identity. My classes are built around French youth culture. Music playlists, social media trends, and teen films play a big role. These elements make learning relatable. I teach modern slang and conversational French that students actually hear online. Fluency grows naturally through discussion and role-play. I keep lessons active and varied. Teenagers need energy and relevance. I meet them where they are. Cultural context is always included. This helps students understand not just what to say, but why it’s said. I focus on building confidence through positive feedback. Mistakes are part of growth. Learning becomes memorable when it feels personal. My goal is to make French feel like a living language. I want students to feel connected, confident, and curious as they grow.

About the lesson

I teach French through a dynamic and engaging approach that supports both creativity and progress. Lessons combine structure with flexibility, allowing learners to feel guided without feeling restricted. This style works particularly well for students interested in music, theater, and artistic communication. We analyze French song lyrics to understand emotion, tone, and vocabulary. Play scripts and dramatic dialogue bring language to life. Pronunciation is taught with a focus on expression and clarity. I use artistic tools to make learning memorable. Conversation is practiced consistently. Exam-focused learners receive clear frameworks and targeted practice. Progress happens steadily and naturally. Lessons are adapted to individual strengths and goals. I provide warm, encouraging feedback. Students feel confident taking risks. Learning feels active and meaningful. Each session invites imagination while building strong, practical French skills.
