About Stephen
I have been deeply passionate about learning and teaching mathematics and physics since early in high school. I did my undergraduate in my hometown at the University of New Mexico. Following this, I did two Master's and a PhD at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. After graduating with my PhD, I began a postdoctoral assistant professor position at the University of Michigan. I am currently nearby at Michigan State University. Throughout, I have been tutoring professionally and gaining invaluable formal teaching experience!

Hello! I am currently an asst. professor of mathematics at Michigan State University and before this, I was an asst. prof at the University of Michigan. In addition to teaching mathematics at the university level, I have 15 years of tutoring experience dating back to my years as an undergraduate.
I am able to help with all levels of math and physics. Of particular relevance to today's job market, I would love to help students with vector calculus, optimization, probability, and linear algebra. These topics are a MUST to understand machine learning, neural networks, and AI!
I would love to help if you or your children need help with precalc, calc, trig, or algebra! In particular, I have teaching experience with Math 105/115/116 at UMich as well as more advanced courses like Math 285 on multivariable and vector calculus
