About Sarika

I'm an Engineer who enjoys science and math. I teach Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 at a local high school. Through engineering school I have done through Calculus 4 and Calculus for Physics, Chemistry, and Materials Sciemce. I use my skills to help non-engineers understand complex ideas.

If math and science is not your thing, that's OK. We can talk about your goals and get you where you want to be.

I'm open to different identities, gender, LGBTQIA+, english as a second language, race/ethnic diversity :-)

About the lesson

I like to design my classes on what the student needs. If you would like to learn basic concepts we can start from the beginning. If you want encouragement and mentorship as you study and work through assignments like most of my students, I'll provide that. If you want to see certain gains in your scores on standardized tests and exams, I'll share strategies from a test taking angle.

Sarika is a smart, math whiz, but what really sets her apart from other tutors is her personality and dedication to teaching. I've seen her work with students in such a gentle way that helps them learn and build confidence in their abilities.Tutoring isn't just about going over a textbook! It's also believing in the value of your students, and Sarika nails that.

I would highly recommend Sarika for your child's education, specifically developing beginner to intermediate skills in mathematics.

Sarika has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages, especially children. Her ability to connect with her students and her talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced topics, are both truly superior. She also has excellent written and verbal communication skills with both parents and teachers.

Sarika accomplishes all these tasks with great initiative and with a positive attitude. As someone who has struggled with math for the bulk of my life, I find that the way Sarika is able to break down abstract concepts with patience refreshing. I no longer fear the subject, and it is thanks to her!

I recommend Sarika to you without reservation.
