My tutoring methodology usually depends on the problem and level of understanding that the learner has. Generally, I make sure that my students understand the principles on which the topic is based on; e.g. in newton's law, I would make sure that the students understand how vector diagrams for forces work before we even talk about the actual law or content. I also like to assist the learners with breaking down the Questions and therefore know which approach to take.
