I use Socratic questioning and scaffolding to simplify complex literary theory. Lessons involve context building, textual analysis, and answer-writing practice. My B.Ed and CTET background ensures structured pedagogy for degree-level students focusing on Renaissance, Romanticism, Modernism, and Post-Colonial literature. Teaching Method & Techniques I bridge the gap between historical context and modern relevance. * Thematic Scaffolding: Breaking down "heavy" theories (like Post-Structuralism or Orientalism) into relatable, everyday concepts. * Critical Lens Application: Teaching you how to view a single poem through multiple lenses—Feminist, Marxist, or Psychoanalytic. * Comparative Analysis: Connecting a Romantic poem by Wordsworth to Modernist disillusionment to show the evolution of thought. Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes) Phase Activity 00-10 min Contextual Hook: Historical background of the era/author. 10-30 min Close Reading: Line-by-line analysis of the text for imagery and tone. 30-45 min Theory Integration: Applying relevant literary movements/critiques. | 45-60 min Exam Strategy: Drafting thesis statements and structuring high-score answers. Who Are the Lessons For? I specialize in helping undergraduate (BA) and postgraduate (MA) students, as well as high schoolers (A-levels/IB), master specific eras: * Renaissance: Shakespeare, Milton, and the rise of Humanism. * Romanticism: Nature, sublime, and the French Revolution’s impact. * Modernism: Stream of consciousness, Eliot, and post-war fragmentation. * Post-Colonial: Identity, language, and decolonization in world literature.
