About Shannon Elizabeth
Hello there! I'm Shannon Elizabeth, a dedicated educator with a deep passion for language, learning, and connection.
With a Master's degree in Holistic Education and a strong foundation in Elementary Education (K-5) and ESL (PreK-12th grade), I bring a comprehensive and versatile approach to teaching. My academic background has equipped me with the tools to create a learning environment that considers not only the intellectual growth of my students but also their emotional and social development.
My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that education is a collaborative journey. Just as much as I'm here to guide and instruct, I'm here to learn alongside my students. This philosophy took root during my immersive experience in Nepali village schools while on a college internship. Witnessing the transformative power of education in diverse settings ignited my lifelong commitment to fostering meaningful connections through language.
Nature has always been my inspiration and solace. When I'm not teaching, you'll likely find me outdoors, embracing the beauty of the natural world. I adore hiking through rugged trails, cycling along scenic routes, and dancing with the wind. This love for adventure and travel has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of cultures and languages, enriching my ability to relate to learners from all walks of life.
As your instructor, I'm not just here to teach grammar and vocabulary; I'm here to embark on an exploration of language and culture with you. Together, we'll navigate the intricacies of English, celebrate your victories, and learn from every challenge. Whether you're a beginner taking your first steps in English or an advanced learner honing your skills, I'm dedicated to tailoring our lessons to meet your unique goals and aspirations.
Thank you for considering me as your guide in this language-learning journey. Let's learn, grow, and discover the world of English together!
