About Thomas
I have been teaching English as a foreign language since 2008, with a major focus on preparation for the IELTS, CAE (C1), and FCE (B2) examinations.
I first taught English in Tokyo for two years, primarily in a one-to-one setting, but also teaching larger business groups.
After realising how much I enjoyed teaching and that this was what I wanted to do for a living, I returned to the UK and studied at International House London for a CELTA qualification.
Since then I have been teaching full-time, both general English and specific exam classes, on a one-to-one basis as well as in groups, and have gained a lot of insight into what the examiners are looking for and how to improve a students chances at IELTS/CAE/FCE.

The first step is to identify areas that most need improvement, and then concentrate on those; it is important to focus your energy on the areas where you can improve the most. Often a few changes and a little practice in the right areas can make a major difference to your score.
- Do you need to improve your IELTS writing from 6.5 to 7.5? We can do it.

I learned English as An Foreign language from him for 3 months when I lived in London. He is a knowledgeable teacher and very patient.
