About Shabri
I am an English Literature university student living in York originally from Oxford. I am new to tutoring but have received tutoring throughout my academic career and therefore know the extensive benefits it can offer. Furthermore, having been to some of the best schools in the country I am well equipped with teaching techniques and tips to help my students make visible improvements in a short space of time. Moreover, as a Russell Group university student, I am keen and passionate about my subject and am constantly gaining new information that can help my students. Finally, as someone who has struggled with dyslexia, I am capable of helping students with any kind of difficulties and approach each student and their needs on an individual case basis.

My approach to teaching varies from student to student as I think that everybody learns in different ways. Furthermore, students of different ages require different styles of teaching. However, I believe in leading students to unlocking new study skills and new knowledge themselves rather than spoon-feeding them the answers. As everyone learns differently I have the resources to provide the right aides for the right kind of learners whether this is visual, auditory, kinesthetic, reading or writing.
