About Meher
I have been giving private lessons for 2 years now, teaching 5 students from ages 11-16. Two of my students are at GCSE Level and are currently predicted grades 8-9. One of them moved up a set in school after she began tutoring with me. I also tutored at a centre for 9 months where I taught 5 classes per week with 4-6 children in each class, teaching on a rotational method. The children ranged from ages 4-16.

Students respond to interactive ways of learning and I have seen success when I employ such methods. For English, my lessons are full of discussion which encourages students to think creatively and I then help them develop coherence when expressing their ideas on paper. We go through each step of how to answer a certain type of question and consider every aspect of what makes a model answer. Often my students and I plan long answer questions or stories together in detail in the lesson and they write the full piece for homework. I set homework to track progress, depending on how parents feel about it.
