About Cory
I have been teaching English for 4 years now. One of things I have learned is that every kid is at a different place in their academic journey, but they are all seeking to better themselves. Thomas Jefferson once said, "Every generation needs a new revolution". This is the driving force behind my philosophy. I believe in equipping the next generation to be the change they want to see. In my lesson, I encourage and invite each of my students to view learning as a way to open up pathways to progress. In every book lies a story, and in every story lies a lesson from someone that came before us. It is through reading those stories that we gain insight into our fellow human beings and learn to grow as people. It is my hope that this insight will guide each student to find the version of themselves they are striving for, and sometimes that requires a little extra help. By providing students the opportunity to read stories of great people who changed the world, they too can do their part to be the revolution of this generation.

As a teacher/tutor is it my job to prepare you for what YOU are trying to achieve. Whether that is passing a test, getting into college or just a desire to learn more, I will meet you where YOU are at. All my sessions start with a full diagnostic of where you are at, and goal setting for where you would like to be. Throughout the process we re-adjust and re-evaluate until YOU feel ready to succeed.
