I have taught for over 38 years, at Dallas Independent School District, Plano Independent School District, Laredo United School District, Dallas College, Collin College, and Cushman School. I work with students in grades 6-college and beyond. I teach English, writing, grammar, reading, critical thinking, test prep, and other topics and courses, including AP Language and Composition and AP Literature and Composition. I practice metacognition and encourage my students to learn how to work with their brains and unique learning styles, focusing on both skills and strategy.
