About Anisa
Hello! I am Anisa and currently a second-year student at King’s College London. I am a friendly and enthusiastic tutor with a genuine passion in helping students develop their confidence, skills and enjoyment in English. I have a strong academic background having achieved A* in English in both GCSE and A-levels, with this being a recent achievement within the years allowing me to provide students with relatable advice that will help them develop in the subject.

My approach to tutoring is by being friendly and supportive, tailoring the lesson to each student’s individual needs. Through making English an engaging topic, the student is able to both build confidence in the subject and develop their academic skillset. I begin by identifying the student’s strengths and weaknesses, then structuring the lessons around developing their weaknesses into strengths. Through providing detailed feedback for students' work, I encourage them to explain and develop their ideas rather than being reliant on memorising information. Particularly for GCSE students, I provide them with exam techniques, essay structures and help them understand how they can reach each assessment objective.
Lessons last for 60 minutes and I range from teaching students from KS2 to GCSE level.
I am currently studying at King’s College London and have achieved A* in English at both GCSE and A-Level. Having recently experienced the school and exam system, alongside my previous experience of providing one-to-one tutoring, I understand the challenges students face and provide them with relatable guidance to help them improve and feel more confident in English.
