About Julia
I have been a teacher for four years, and have experience as a private tutor. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English in May 2021. I studied at the University of New Mexico, and I graduated with honors. My writing experience includes editorial writing, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and academic papers. I am familiar with and comfortable tutoring ELA for all grade levels.

A typical lesson begins with you showing me what you already know about a topic, and then looking at what you are struggling with. After that, we work on the skills you need to master each concept. By working on the skills (instead of focusing on getting each answer correct) you are able to apply what you have learned in your personal studies. These lessons are appropriate for students of all ages, from preschoolers learning phonics (letter sounds) to college students working on essays. I am also available for anyone who is interested in writing creative non-fiction, fiction, and poetry!
