About Charmaine
I am a current High School American history teacher and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill–with majors in Global Studies and Political Science and minor in Social and Economic Justice. I hold Praxis certifications in both English and Social Studies.
I have taught in Taiwan and the United States including students ages 5-18 across diverse backgrounds. My teaching philosophy revolves around engagement and personalization: let's work together to make a curriculum work for you.

These are the questions my students explore and answer through immersive lessons. A typical English lesson includes student text analysis, teacher-modeled text analysis, corrections, and applying skills to future lessons. I also offer writing intensive tutoring including essay, professional, and resume writing.
