About Lize
I am an English and History undergraduate student at Brown University, here to help you with anything from grammar and essay writing to NZQA Scholarship!
I believe in fostering a positive learning atmosphere that is tailored to your needs and interests. English should be fun. Far from an isolated skill set confined to worksheets, strong English skills help us engage more deeply with our interests, whether that is in STEM or "Pride and Prejudice".
Having grown up overseas, I know how hard English can be to learn as a second language. But I also know that it is made easier by a positive instructor, a tailored teaching approach, and patient guidance — these are the guiding principles in my work.
Studying and sharing my love for English is my passion. I can't wait to help you feel more confident in your reading, speaking, and writing abilities.

— Lessons are typically 1 hour each, once or twice per week.
— During the first lesson, we will identify areas for improvement and set learning goals.
— I will create a tailored learning plan that helps meet your goals.
— I use original teaching materials and create exercises based on your reading interests and learning needs.
— After each session, I submit a written summary to help students and parents keep track of their learning.
— Homework is assigned upon request.
