About Gigi

Clear essay writing and creative editing are central to my work after 12 years of helping students find their voice. I often sit with nervous beginners who are just starting to articulate their thoughts, which remains the most rewarding part of my week. My MA in Applied Linguistics from Columbia informs how I break down complex grammar or literature analysis into manageable pieces.

I find that teaching became my natural calling long before I made it a formal practice. Instead of rushing through 5 concepts, I prefer that a student understands 1 idea properly. I ask many questions before offering answers because I want to hear how you think first.

This conversational approach helps with spoken fluency and report writing for those who need practical results.

Providing a weekly reading list matched to your current level helps ensure that our material remains relevant and accessible. Having attained an 8.0 on my own assessment, I understand the precision required for high level exam preparation.

My MA in Applied Linguistics allows me to guide you through proofreading and email writing with technical accuracy. I listen more than I speak to ensure our time together focuses on your specific gaps.

We move at a pace that allows you to absorb the nuances of English rather than just memorizing rules. This structure gives you the space to ask questions without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by the content. You will leave our time feeling more confident in your ability to communicate effectively in any professional or academic setting.
