About Florence
Experienced, dynamic, patient and creative, I'm used to adapting quickly to my students and I'm fully committed to meet their needs. I really like my job as I get to meet new people with different personalities and backgrounds. I got to teach very high profile professionals as well as children, which was very enriching.
I'm fluent in English and studied Spanish, German and Portuguese. I lived and taught abroad (Brasil and Vietnam) so I have a fair experience in learning a new language and in discovering a new culture.
After 15 years in this field, I'm still very keen to continue sharing my language and my culture. I teach in a very supportive and caring way and always make sure that my students are happy with their lessons.

Trained and certified at the Alliance Française de Paris (DPAFP), I've been teaching French as a Foreign Language for 15 years.
Based in North London for nearly 10 years now, I offer tailored French classes to adults (1h/session), face to face or online.
Whether you are a complete beginner or whether you are advanced, I adapt myself fully to you and your objectives, respecting your pace and your needs. My priority is to support you and meet your expectations in an efficient way, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
-I teach grammar, vocabulary, oral/written comprehension and/or oral/written expression.
-For higher levels, I can do conversation only (with feedback at the end of the session).
-For a regular class, I usually use the 1st session to get to know you, gage your level and discuss your objectives.
-I also give you tips on how to improve your French outside the class (links, podcasts, series...)
-Then, as a starting point, I suggest a content for our next lesson and check if you are happy with it.
-I provide the material (I don't use a specific book) but I'm always happy to work on a document (song, poem, news...) you would like to study.
-I give homework (but not too much) :)
All I want is you to finish your class feeling happy.
