About James
I have formally tutored for BSc Natural Sciences, A level Environmental Science, the 11+ grammar school test, and year 6 maths and English.
I have also informally helped 30 students on my BSc with aspects of coursework or revision, such as using software, putting together practice essays and learning information. All of these who were prepared to work hard at their studies achieved 1sts or 2:1s in these assessments, with those that I helped most extensively achieving 1sts in end of year examinations.

I graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2019, with a 1st in BSc (Honours) Environmental Science and a Merit in MSc Marine Renewable Energy.
I tutor for environmental science up to degree level, Geography and Geology up to A level, Maths and English up to GCSEs, and for the 11+ grammar school test. I am currently available to tutor online.
My lesson structure tends to be straightforward: identifying what needs to be covered, working through course material required, explaining anything that needs explaining and going through questions on the topic to check understanding. Of course, I am also happy to customise lesson structure to best fit the interests and learning styles of my students.
