I like to teach through practice and positive reinforcement. I use pop culture references as subject matter to keep things interesting for my students (age appropriate of course!). I like to ensure students have a firm grasp on the fundamentals, then teach idioms and popular phrases to assist with real life situations in different cultures. My philosophy is, if you can make a joke and get a joke in a language, you have achieved a good level of fluency.
