About Natalie

I graduated from Tulane Medical School and am currently both a pediatrics resident and tutor! I have tutored math since high school, most recently in the Quantitative Reasoning Center at Colorado College and for college prep with students in NOLA when I moved for medical school! The most exciting thing about learning to me is getting to share my knowledge with others, so I really love to teach and step away from every teaching session with a new way to approach problems or concepts from catering a lesson to the specific learner :)

About the lesson

I like to use a learn one, do one, teach one model with math!I will have students either come with work from school or create my own lessons based off of topics of concern for the students. I will then have the students explain to me what they know and teach from there. After we complete a few questions together, I will have them work through one out loud, and then pretend like I am the student that needs each step and possible point of confusion explained. I am a big advocate of active learning and the growth mindset :)

Perfect! Natalie is the best math tutor I have found for my son. First, she is very knowledgeable with my high schooler’s advanced math material, and has the patience and communication skills to explain how to approach the problem thoroughly. She is prompt and very clear in her responses, and calm patience is a huge plus as a tutor. I recommend her highly!

I started tutoring with Natalie during my junior year of high school. I am now going into my sophomore year in college and all that Natalie has taught and helped me with is still useful and being applied in my collegiate studies. She has helped me with class work, navigating college, finding the career path for me, and even life questions. We still keep in touch although I am no longer being tutored and she is always excited to hear updates from my journey. I loved my time with Natalie and it will always be cherished. If you are considering tutoring with her, I strongly recommend that you do it. 10/10!

It was a true pleasure to have Natalie join our tutoring staff, and to see her dedication to supporting students in STEM at our college. In addition to her broad understanding of neuroscience (her major), she was also very thoughtful and patient in tutoring an array of topics in chemistry and physics (her minors). I’d highly recommend working with Natalie!

Natalie is one of the best tutors I have ever worked with! She is caring, patient, passionate, and knowledgeable. She has several years of tutoring for various people and communities, such as tutoring immigrants and refugees for their Naturalization exam. She forms a relationship deeper than just a tutor/tutee one—she forms friendships that last long after they pass their test. She goes above and beyond for her tutees, making sure they are getting the most out of their lesson. She teaches from the heart and makes the experience comfortable, enjoyable, and unforgettable! Natalie is truly an honor to work with and to be tutored by.

I have known Natalie for many years. I worked with her as her Supervisor at a Hospital in Colorado Springs. Natalie is not only a well rounded person, she is dedicated. Her attention to detail and constant observations rise above her peers. No matter how much or how little help you need, she has the knowledge and the time required to make things right. Her patience with people go far beyond the best. Natalie's education level will be an asset to the Superprof member community.
