I recently retired from teaching English Lit/Poetry/Writing. The students I have taught are in the thousands. Many of my students went on to very prestigious schools such as Harvard, MIT and West Point after I helped them write their personal essays.

My method of teaching is simply based on helping students to communicate succinctly as possible. I find that the cornerstone of writing is reading. I supply my students with brilliant writing examples that will help them realize that good writing is difficult needs practice. Every student has a voice and tone all their own and I'll help them express it on paper.
