About Shamayun
I am a highly experienced and dedicated accounting lecturer with a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Birmingham City University and BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance from the De Montfort University, Leicester. I was awarded the best masters student in 2020-21 for achieving the highest overall mark in MSc Accounting and Finance programme at Birmingham City University. I am a finalist of the Chartered Institute of the Management Accountants (CIMA), UK and a member of The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA), Australia. I am a member of the Association of Accounting Technician (MAAT) and holding AAT professional practising certificate.
After completing MSc in Accounting and Finance, I was appointed as a lecturer in Accounting and Finance in February 2022 on a part time basis at Nottingham Trent University and continue teaching at the same university. I’m also teaching AAT (Association of Accounting Technician) at level 2, 3 and 4 courses at a further education College on a part time basis.
As a qualified accountant with over 17 years of combined experience in industry and practice, I possess the specialist knowledge in accounting and tax, therefore I can bring a real life practical example to every session and helping students not only pass their exams but truly understand the accounting concepts practically.

I teach face to face and online.
I understand that every student learns differently, therefore my teaching approach is tailored to each student’s unique needs, ensuring that complex concepts are made simple and presented to the students and transform learning into an enjoyable experience.
I am very flexible as I understand sometimes more time required to spend on certain areas and tasks. I always ensure that in each lesson students feel very comfortable, confident and well equipped with to tackle their exam very confidently.
