About Claire
I'm an ACA accountant with over 15 years experience now of accounting, be that studying it or working in it!
I spent over seven years studying for college and professional exams and three of those were for accounting so I have learnt a few tricks along the way!

Initially I will need to have a conversation to find out what areas need to be worked on, be that starting from scratch or else certain topics that are weaker and the student is struggling with.
I will prepare questions in advance of the grind that we will go through together and then I will assign a question to be done for the following week to see the areas that need to be covered again.
My belief is that if you understand accounting (instead of learning things off by heart) and keep practicing it then the exam shouldn't be too challenging and high marks can be achieved so I like to make sure my students understand what we go through together before moving on to the next topic. Exam technique is also very important with accounting so we will cover that too!
