About Afnan
Hi! I’m Afnan, an aerospace engineer with over eight years of experience working for major aircraft manufacturers. I’ve spent my career solving complex engineering problems, but one of the things I enjoy most is breaking down tough concepts into simple, understandable ideas - especially in math and science. I know that these subjects can feel challenging at times, but I believe anyone can master them with the right approach. My goal is to help students not just improve their grades but also build confidence in their problem-solving skills. Whether it’s algebra, physics, or general science, I make lessons engaging by connecting them to real-world examples - especially from aerospace and engineering. I bring a professional yet friendly approach to tutoring, adapting each lesson to fit the student’s learning style and pace. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and truly understanding the "why" behind what they’re learning. If you're looking for a tutor who’s patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you succeed, I’d love to help!

My Approach as a Tutor
How I Teach
I like to keep things simple, engaging, and relatable. Math and science can feel overwhelming at times, but I break concepts down into easy-to-understand ideas using real-world examples—especially from aerospace and engineering. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and see the "why" behind what they’re learning instead of just memorizing formulas.
I adjust my teaching style based on what works best for each student. Whether they need step-by-step explanations, visual aids, or hands-on problem-solving, I make sure they fully understand the material in a way that makes sense to them.
What a Lesson Looks Like
1. Start with the Basics – Quick intro to the topic and why it matters.
2. Break it Down – Explain key concepts using simple examples and analogies.
3. Practice Together – Work through problems step by step.
4. Student Tries It – Let them solve problems on their own with guidance.
5. Wrap-Up & Review – Go over key takeaways and clear up any confusion.
What Makes Me Different
- Real-World Experience – As an aerospace engineer, I bring practical insights that make science and math more interesting and relevant.
- Passion for Teaching – I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence in these subjects.
- Customized Approach – I adapt to each student’s learning style and pace.
- Problem-Solving Focus – Instead of just giving answers, I help students develop critical thinking skills.
Who My Lessons Are For
- Middle school and high school students struggling with or looking to improve in math, physics, and science.
- Students preparing for exams or looking for extra support in STEM subjects.
- Anyone curious about aerospace, engineering, or how things work!
