Inspiring Trust & Professionalism: About Me Hello! I'm Livin C Joy, a certified Judo trainer with a Black Belt (Sho Dan) and over 10 years of experience training school children, college students, and athletes across Kerala. I’ve had the privilege of coaching district and state teams, guiding students to excel in competitions while also growing in confidence, discipline, and physical fitness. My teaching journey is rooted in both passion and professionalism. I hold a Certificate in Sports Coaching (Judo) from SAI, NS NIS Patiala, and have served in key roles such as Office Secretary for the Kerala Judo Association and Team Coach for the Kerala Junior and Cadet Teams. These experiences have helped me understand how to support learners of all levels and create a structured, safe, and motivating training environment. When you train with me, you’re not just learning Judo — you’re gaining life skills, fitness habits, and a mindset for success. I take pride in being approachable, clear in my instruction, and genuinely invested in every student’s progress. Whether you're a beginner looking to build confidence, a young athlete aiming for competitions, or someone simply wanting to stay fit through martial arts, I’m here to guide you professionally, respectfully, and with dedication. My Approach as a Teacher and How I Share My Knowledge: As a Judo trainer with over a decade of experience coaching various age groups, I believe in a structured, disciplined, and student-centered approach to teaching. My goal is not only to teach techniques but also to instill values such as respect, confidence, focus, and resilience. Teaching Techniques and Methods: I use a combination of demonstration, explanation, guided practice, and feedback. I strongly believe in "learning by doing," so most of my classes involve physical drills, one-on-one correction, and scenario-based training. I also incorporate sports science principles, warm-ups, injury prevention techniques, and mental conditioning to ensure overall development. Class Structure: Each class typically begins with a proper warm-up and stretching session, followed by technical skill development (throws, holds, break falls, etc.), partner practice, and situational sparring. I end the session with a review, feedback, and cool-down exercises to improve recovery and reduce injury risk. Special Features as a Teacher: I ensure that my sessions are engaging and goal-oriented. My ability to connect with students of all levels, explain complex techniques in simple terms, and encourage individual growth is what sets me apart. I have a strong track record of building disciplined, motivated teams and preparing students for competitions while keeping safety and enjoyment at the core. Intended Audience: My classes are designed for all levels – school children, college students, and adults. I adjust my teaching style and intensity based on age, skill level, and personal goals (fitness, self-defense, or competitive training).
