About Amy
For over 20 years, I've dedicated myself to the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy - from winning national competitions to having my work collected by former Japanese Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto. I’ve also had the honor of performing live calligraphy demonstrations at the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Sydney (谊园), SBS Chinese New Year events, and various other functions. Now, I'm excited to share this passion with you through personalized lessons.

For over 20 years, I've dedicated myself to the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy – from winning national competitions to having my work collected by former Japanese Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto. Now, I want to share this passion with you. My personalized lessons take you from fundamental strokes to advanced techniques, unraveling the beautiful logic behind each brush movement. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, each 60-minute session is tailored to your pace and goals. Each practice session is not just a step toward mastering calligraphy, but also a peaceful journey for the mind and soul. As we advance, I’ll guide you in creating small calligraphy pieces—perfect for display or as gifts. The class can be hosted in a local library or online. The first 30 minutes will be a free online lesson. It's a great chance for us to discuss your calligraphy goals and for you to experience my teaching style.

Amy is a very experienced and patient teacher. She started by teaching the basic strokes, all the way to the structure of Chinese characters. Now I can write some simple Chinese words. It’s really interesting
