About Shaheer
Hello! I’m a specialist science teacher with over 7 years of classroom experience, currently working as Deputy Head of Science and Key Stage 4 Lead at a secondary school and sixth form college in London. Academically, I studied at King’s College London and Imperial College London, where I developed a deep understanding of scientific research and human anatomy. I carried out human dissections and conducted research in areas such as cancer biology, focusing my final year on cancer research and exploring novel treatment methods for cancer during my time at Imperial. This experience enriches my teaching with real-world scientific insight and academic depth. I offer tutoring in GCSE Sciences, GCSE Maths, and A-Level Biology, with extensive experience across major exam boards including AQA and OCR. Lessons are carefully aligned with exam board specifications to ensure students focus on exactly what they need for exam success, with any additional information clearly explained to build broader understanding. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s ability, beginning with a prior knowledge check and followed by structured, digestible content. I use a variety of methods including diagrams, interactive whiteboards, verbal questioning, Kahoot quizzes, and exam-style questions to keep sessions dynamic and focused on progress. My teaching style is warm, supportive, and student-focused, encouraging discussion, curiosity, and confidence. I combine strong subject knowledge with adaptable teaching strategies to help all learners thrive and achieve their full potential.

My teaching method is based on researched and proven strategies that enhance learning. All lessons include recap of previous content, diagrams to support explanations, questions to check understanding, content taught in manageable chunks, independent practice and then exam practice and techniques. Students are given multiple opportunities and tasks to assess understanding before mastering exam questions.

Shaheer is an amazing teacher and very experienced. I was stuck with on a grade 3 in foundation maths and i managed to get a 5 in my gcses almost earning top marks I would definitely recommend

This is not only a teacher, a guider, a firm believer in the capabilities of his students. He is also a certified Legend. That is a phrase that I do not use quite often but I must. Sir made all of my lessons fun especially my practical exams. He is outgoing and easy to talk to. Thats why he is a Legend.
