About Jill
Hello, I'm Dr. Jill Bartholomew, EdD, with Mad Wizard Tutoring. I am an experienced, certified, caring tutor who believes in growth mindset principles when it comes to learning. Just because my students find a subject or concept difficult does not mean that, together, we cannot master any learning task. I specialize in reading and writing skills and can offer K-12 level reading assessments. I also work with college and graduate-level students and adult learners, seeking to go back to college or just wanting to improve their reading and writing skills in general. Together, we can accomplish any assignment. Remember Dr. Jill with Mad Wizard Tutoring. See you soon.

Hi, I'm Dr. Jill Bartholomew EdD with Mad Wizard Tutoring. I have run my own tutoring company since 2020 and have helped many students from ages 5 through adulthood improve their reading and writing skills. I am familiar with the methods and strategies used by most public school districts and prefer to work with the student on their existing or upcoming assignments. I do offer diagnostic reading and writing assessments and use research-based strategies to strengthen my students' learning skills if there is a gap between grade level and coursework. I also offer test preparation, postsecondary writing and editing, and resume services. Remember Dr. Jill, the Mad Wizard Tutor. See you soon!

Perfect! My child loved working with Jill. She really tried to connect with him and find books that would help him enjoy reading. His reading skills improved very quickly and was able to increase his assessment score by over 100 points. Thank you Jill for making this process fun for him and building up his confidence.

Jill is such a great partner in my son's learning. She's easy for me to align with and most importantly she's a fun, effective and engaging teacher for my son. She's been a godsend during this time of remote learning, helping ensure my son continues to advance academically.
Jill Bartholomew tutors our 8 year old in French and she is AMAZING. She knows exactly what works to get and keep my son motivated and we love that she uses a variety of online tools to keep things interesting. We can't recommend her more!
The method and ways of teaching youngsters with kindness and patience. The students said that learning together with Jill is like going on a trip with a friend. We were very lucky to find an amazing teacher with great interpersonal skills and so much talent to transmit knowledge.
