About Shaoqi

Hello! I’m Jade, a native Chinese speaker with extensive experience teaching languages online. My students range from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced learners.

I’ve always had a strong passion for both teaching and learning languages. I often communicate with friends from different countries and enjoy discussing all kinds of topics, including languages, everyday life, work, and different perspectives on the world. I believe this will help us create fun and engaging lessons together!

I enjoy reading and writing in both Chinese and English. I love getting lost in the stories and worlds I create, and I also enjoy discovering the thoughts of different authors and the cultures behind their books.

About the lesson

A complete Beginner? Don’t worry! I can explain everything clearly in English. I have experience in teaching Chinese to beginners, so I know which parts can be challenging and what mistakes beginners usually make. I’ll guide you through them step by step and make learning Chinese easier for you!

Ready to break through to advanced Chinese? I’ll create a personalized study plan for you and tailor every lesson to your goals and needs. Let’s take your vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, and writing to the next level!

Chinese pronunciation seems difficult? Let's start with sounds you already know in English and build from there. I’ll help you transfer what you already know about English pronunciation to Chinese.

Chinese characters look strange? No worries! I’ll help you understand where Chinese characters come from and how they are structured, making them easier and more efficient to learn and remember.

Grammar feels boring? Don’t worry! I’ll create practical situations or stories to teach grammar, so you can quickly put what you’ve learned into practice.

Feeling stuck when writing in Chinese? I can help you learn more advanced written Chinese and make your writing more fluent, natural, and beautiful.

I have been learning with Jade since April 2026, and since then my Chinese level has improved much faster than I expected.

At first, I was afraid of practicing my oral Mandarin, but Jade proved to be so patient, benevolent, and reassuring.

Studying with Jade has always been fun and efficient as she adapts easily to my needs (willing to travel to China), and I recommend her ability to tailor lessons in accordance with one's objectives or level, making it much better than studying with books or apps.
