About Shan

I am a doctor currently working in a busy Emergency Department, with a strong academic record including A*A*A* at A Level and 11 A*s at GCSE. My experience in medicine equips me with a genuine understanding of what it takes to succeed, both academically and in real-world healthcare settings. With a pragmatic approach, I excel at creating personalised revision schedules and guiding students through the most efficient methods for exam preparation and application success. Whether you are aiming for top grades or a place at medical school, I’m dedicated to providing practical insights, encouragement, and a competitive edge at every stage of the process.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalised, interactive, and focused on guiding students through every aspect of gaining admission to medical school. Whether you are preparing for GCSEs, A Levels, or medical school entrance exams like the UCAT and BMAT, I provide clear, structured teaching that builds knowledge and confidence. Each session typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, allowing ample time for explanation, practice, and personalised feedback. I use a variety of teaching methods including discussion, problem-solving, exam technique drills, and application workshops.

Shan is a genuinely reliable and supportive tutor. He takes the time to explain things clearly, ensuring that I truly comprehend the content rather than simply memorising it. Shan is kind and reassuring when I'm unsure or struggling, and he always finds new methods to explain things until they make sense. He offers a welcoming learning environment in which I feel free to ask questions and make errors. His dependability, clear communication, and genuine concern for his students' achievement make him someone I can always rely on to help me learn and grow.
