About Yae

Hello and welcome!

As a dedicated professional with nine years of formal teaching experience, I understand that embarking on a new learning journey can feel both exciting and challenging. My goal is to provide a clear, encouraging, and highly structured environment where you feel fully supported every step of the way.

Throughout my career in education, I have developed a proven approach to breaking down complex subjects into simple, actionable steps tailored to each student’s unique pace and goals. Whether you are building a strong foundation from scratch or refining your skills, you can count on my patience, professional guidance, and absolute dedication to your progress.

Learning should be a rewarding experience. I am here to help you gain true confidence, reach your milestones, and achieve lasting results with clarity and ease. Let’s make your goals a reality together!

About the lesson

My methodology is rooted in structural clarity and practical application. Having spent 9 years as a professional school educator, I specialize in breaking down complex concepts—whether it’s nuanced grammar, stroke order, or conversational etiquette—into digestible, step-by-step building blocks.

I place a strong emphasis on active production over passive listening. I use visual aids, real-life scenario prompts, and immediate, constructive feedback to ensure you build confidence speaking from day one. I foster a patient, supportive, and encouraging space where mistakes are celebrated as essential learning opportunities.

Perfect! Yae Sensei was very kind and encouraging! E fell so lucky to have met her!

Yae's response
Lauren was wonderful to work with! Her Japanese speaking and listening skills are impressive, and I love how proactive she is about asking questions whenever she needs clarification.

Her children also did an amazing job trying hard to say Japanese greetings and words! It was a delight to see them so engaged, and I’m looking forward to our next lesson!
