I completed by PGCE in the UK through Teach First/University of Manchester in 2011 and have been teaching ever since. I have taught in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Germany. My specialism is in Cambridge IGCSE English and English Literature, Cambridge IGCSE ESL and IB HL/SL Lit or LangLit.

My usual lesson structure would be to recap on previous content and learning, making clear to students the learning objectives for the lesson. I try to assign a variety of tasks and (if in a group setting) include space for both independent and group study. I try to give students opportunities to take ownership of their learning and be an active participant in the learning process.
