• I have a BA degree in Linguistics and English Studies from the University of Hong Kong, plus a CELTA qualification for teaching English. I have also gained a PGDE (Secondary Mandarin) from the University of Aberdeen. I have been a private tutor for 10 years, and a classroom teacher of English/Mandarin for 6 years.
• I provide highly interactive and communicative language lessons, focusing on all 4 skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). I choose topics that are of interest to my student(s), and build on prior learning.
• My tailor-made lessons are for all levels and ages! At the moment I teach mainly secondary school pupils, but I have also taught other age ranges, including young kids and adults.
• Typical length of a lesson: 1 hour to 1.5 hours

Chloe is an incredibly patient and kind person, and she helped me to build a strong foundation in Chinese. Her tutoring sessions are engaging, and she was always happy to explain if I was confused about grammar, sentence structure etc. I’m grateful for the sessions I had with her and they definitely helped me on my language learning journey!
Chloe has been my tutor for the past 6 or so years and has helped me improve my vocabulary, knowledge and confidence in my language learning so much. She is an incredible teacher who has so much patience and respect for every one her pupils. Chloe’s passion for teaching is evident in all her lessons, which are interesting, easy to follow and fun! I would highly recommend Chloe as a ESOL tutor.
