About Alex
I am a multi-skilled professional who has spent the last five years teaching English in Japan.
This has been a challenging but very rewarding period of my life. I have experience in teaching ESL to speakers of all ages and skill levels. In addition to my Bachelor's degree and teaching experience, I hold relevant Cert IV qualifications in TESOL and Training & Assessment.
I also have first-hand experience in learning a second language in a foreign country, so I understand the challenges people may face. My family, teachers and colleagues have always taught me the value of excellent communication skills and I am proud to stand by this notion today.

My lessons are designed to be student-centered, engaging, challenging and stress-free. I deliver flexible lessons and design activities and content to suit the learning styles of my students.
My main goal with my lessons is for them to be stress-free and help students gain confidence. Mistakes are not punished; they are understood and valued as a part of learning.
Language learning is a personal journey, so I also encourage my students to express their individuality as they learn and practice their English.
