About Dafna
I’m Dafna, a Math and Computer Science graduate with a deep love for problem-solving and clear explanations. Over the past three years, I’ve worked as both a teaching assistant and private tutor, helping students at different levels strengthen their understanding and succeed in challenging courses. My goal is simple: to make math and computer science feel approachable and logical. I know what it’s like to feel stuck — and I also know the satisfaction of when things click. That’s why I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, intuitive steps that build real confidence. Students describe my lessons as structured yet flexible, supportive, and focused on true understanding. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, catching up after a tough term, or looking to get ahead, I’ll meet you where you’re at and guide you forward with patience, clarity, and enthusiasm.

Why work with me?
I’m Dafna — a Math and Computer Science graduate with over three years of experience as a TA and private tutor. My goal is to make complex ideas understandable, engaging, and less intimidating.
My approach
I believe that learning math and computer science is about more than memorizing formulas or syntax — it’s about developing problem-solving intuition. My lessons focus on understanding the “why” behind each concept so you can apply it confidently, not just repeat it.
Typical lesson structure
Each session begins with a quick review of what you already know, followed by step-by-step explanations of new material. I integrate practice problems, visual aids, and interactive discussion to ensure you truly grasp the material. Lessons wrap up with key takeaways and a short plan for what to focus on next.
What sets me apart
Student perspective: I’m a student too — I know the challenges you’re facing and how to overcome them.
Flexible learning: Sessions are fully adaptable, offered online or in person, and scheduled around your availability.
Personalized guidance: I tailor each lesson to your learning style and current level, whether you’re catching up or aiming to excel.
Confidence building: We work together to strengthen understanding, not just grades.
Who I teach
My lessons are designed for high school students, undergraduates, and anyone looking to improve their math or computer science skills — whether you’re taking calculus, discrete math, programming, or related courses.
