Lumina Sphere Academy is a team of licensed professional teachers and experienced tutors dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality online education.

Our tutors come from different teaching backgrounds and subject areas, allowing us to support students across Math, Science, and English.

We understand that every student learns differently. That is why our tutors take the time to identify each student's strengths, learning gaps, academic goals, and specific needs before adapting lessons accordingly.

Our classes are conducted online and primarily 1-on-1, giving students personalized attention and allowing our tutors to adjust the pace, teaching strategies, and level of difficulty based on their progress.

At Lumina Sphere Academy, we aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their skills with confidence.

Whether a student needs help with their school curriculum, wants to strengthen foundational skills, needs homework support, or is preparing for an exam, our tutors provide structured, engaging, and results-focused tutoring tailored to the individual learner.

We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We meet students where they are and help them move forward, one step at a time.

About the lesson

At Lumina Sphere Academy, we believe tutoring should be personalized to the student rather than following a one-size-fits-all method. Our tutors first identify the student’s current level, learning gaps, strengths, goals, and preferred learning style, then adjust the lesson accordingly.

Our teaching approach combines clear explanations, step-by-step instruction, guided practice, independent practice, questioning, and regular checks for understanding. We encourage students to actively solve problems and explain their thinking instead of simply watching the tutor demonstrate.

A typical 1-hour lesson may include:

1. Quick check-in and review – Review previous learning, homework, or areas that need reinforcement.
2. Learning objective – Introduce the skill or topic for the day and connect it to the student's goals.
3. Concept explanation and modeling – Explain the concept clearly using examples and step-by-step demonstrations.
4. Guided practice – The tutor and student work through problems together, with questions and prompts to develop understanding.
5. Independent practice – The student solves problems independently so the tutor can assess actual understanding.
6. Feedback and correction – Identify mistakes, misconceptions, and areas that need additional practice.
7. Wrap-up and next steps – Review what was learned and determine what should be practiced or covered next.

The exact structure is flexible. If a student needs more review, we spend more time building foundational skills; if the student demonstrates mastery, we move to more challenging applications.
