About SYLVANUS
I am Okplenye Sylvanus Adugba.I teach for a living.I am of the opinion that teachers are born and not made; teaching comes to me naturally. All through my educational career, I was the one to explain difficult concepts both to my classmates and my juniors. Teaching is the only formal work I have done since graduating from the university almost a decade ago. Simply put, teaching is my habit and my habitat.

My approach to teaching is in line with the admonition of a foremost philosopher,Socrates,who maintains that “the best way to learn is by question and answer “. How have I been applying this? Simple! At my first contact with the learner, I ask certain questions to evaluate both the learner’s knowledge of the subject and his/her general interest in the subject. Next, I give a written test based on the basic concepts of the subject (s)he is expected to know. From the result of the test, I make a decision on whether to go ahead with a new topic or to review the previous knowledge expected of the learner. Moreover, all through my teaching, I make sure the learner is well evaluated to ensure (s)he understand what is expected of him/her.
