When I had my first lesson learning Portuguese with Leonardo, I had already been learning Portuguese on Duolingo for some months and I had practiced speaking with friends but this was my first time with a tutor so I was a little nervous at first. We then started with introductions to break the ice. I spoke in Portuguese to show a little of what I knew already and Leornardo could gather what kind of level I was at. Leonardo was friendly and I felt at ease very quickly. I am now taking regular lessons with him and most recently we were learning the different verbs and tenses. He is very patient, very good at explaining and he gives a lot of useful tips. I highly recommend trying a lesson with him. I know that he is looking for more students, English > Portuguese or Português > Inglês.
