About Joy
Hello! My name is Joy, and I am a Nigerian teacher with experience teaching children and helping learners improve their language and reading skills. I am passionate about teaching because I enjoy helping people learn, grow, and gain confidence.
I want to teach Igbo language to beginners and people interested in Nigerian culture because I believe language connects people to their roots, families, and communities. I also teach English reading and phonics to help children become confident readers.
My lessons are friendly, patient, and adapted to each learner's level. I enjoy creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning step by step.

My private tutoring approach is friendly, patient and personalised. I take time to understand each learner’s level, goals and areas that need improvement. My lessons are interactive and practical, with plenty of conversation, pronunciation practice and exercises. I encourage learners to ask questions and learn at their own pace. Whether you are completely new to Igbo or want to improve your reading and speaking skills, I will support you step by step and make learning enjoyable.
