As a tutor, I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. My teaching approach combines clear explanations, interactive problem-solving, and active recall techniques to help students retain and apply what they learn. A typical lesson begins with a short review of key concepts from the previous session, followed by focused practice on a new topic. We then work through examples together, identify areas of difficulty, and end with a summary or short quiz to reinforce understanding. I also provide optional practice or reflection tasks for students who want to keep improving between sessions.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my background as both a scientist and an educator. I have experience explaining complex biology and biochemistry topics in simple, approachable ways that make sense to students. My goal is always to help them feel capable, curious, and motivated to learn.
