About Marliss

Versatile, experienced, certified and FUN Spanish teacher dedicated to advancing novice language learners through all levels of Spanish, using methods recommended by foreign language council with 100% student pass rate on AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam. Prepares language learners for school, college, and travel abroad.

About the lesson

We have to be INTERESTED and ENGAGED in order to learn a foreign language. I use an approach called comprehensible input, where the learner is provided with comprehensible material and challenged to learn small bits at a time. I believe in lots of repetition and circling back to the 16 most common verbs in the language. I use fun material like engaging stories and fun videos to make learning interesting yet meaningful. I have TONS of interesting resources that encourage conversation and engagement. I am a lively teacher who can motivate even the shyest of students to talk.

Marliss is an excellent Spanish teacher. I took three years of Spanish in high school from her and grew to love the language due to her passion for teaching it. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to further their language skills and foster a love for the subject.
