About Jake
My passion for sport began when I was a BTEC Sport student myself. Studying Sport Science inspired me to develop a deeper understanding of performance, fitness, coaching, and exercise, while also showing me the positive impact that education can have on an individual's future. This experience motivated me to continue my studies, progressing to a BSc (Hons) in Sport Coaching, followed by an MSc in Sport and Exercise and a PGCE in Education and Training.
Having experienced vocational education first-hand, I understand the challenges students face and the support they need to succeed. This has helped shape my teaching approach over the past 8 years as a Sport and Uniformed Protective Services lecturer. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals, whether that is improving grades, progressing to university, or pursuing careers within sport, fitness, coaching, or the public services. My aim is to make learning engaging, relatable, and inspiring by linking theory to real-world practice and helping students build confidence in their abilities.

My lessons are engaging, creative, and tailored to each student's individual needs. With over 8 years of experience teaching Sport and Uniformed Protective Services, I use a variety of teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and effective. I bring subjects to life through real-world examples, case studies, practical scenarios, interactive discussions, and structured exam preparation. Rather than simply delivering information, I encourage students to think critically, apply their knowledge, and build confidence in their abilities. My lessons are designed to support different learning styles, ensuring every student can reach their full potential. Whether you need support with BTEC Sport, Public Services, GCSE PE, assignments, coursework, or exam revision, I provide personalised guidance and clear explanations to help you achieve your goals and improve your academic performance.
