About Lucy
I have always had a passion for teaching and helping students achieve their true potential. My love for Classics and English began at an early age because of the enthusiasm that my own teachers instilled in me. I enjoy all areas of academic study and teaching Classics and English allows me to learn more about two topics which I already love dearly.

My typical lesson length is 60 minutes. I typically tutor GCSE, A-level and university students but I am happy to take on students from any level. My teaching methodology is teacher-centred with enquiry based learning. I also have experience with student-centred constructivist approaches. I am very flexible in this regard and I consider catering to my student's learning needs as most important. I have a PGCE in Latin with Classics from King's College London and I was a secondary school teacher for three years in London. Since beginning my PhD I have worked for the National Tutoring Programme helping GCSE students with English, alongside tutoring A-level Ancient History and leading Latin seminars at the University of Manchester.
