About Berfin
Merhaba! I am Berfin :)
I am a professional Turkish Language and Literature teacher based in Melbourne. Since moving here in 2022, I have been teaching students across Australia and globally, building on my professional teaching foundation from Turkey. With over 4 years of experience, I focus on making the language practical and natural for everyone I work with, from preschool children to mature adults.
Why Study With Me?
Tailored for All Needs:
•A Heritage Learner: Reconnecting with your family roots and culture. •Learning for a Partner: Connecting more deeply with your loved ones.
•A Traveler: Getting ready for your dream trip to Turkey.
•A Hobbyist: Exploring a new language and culture for fun.
•VCE Student: Needing specialized, structured support for VCE Turkish.
Professional & Tech-Savvy: I conduct all my lessons 100% online, providing a flexible and high-quality learning environment for students anywhere in the world.
Google Classroom Integration: All my students get access to a private Google Classroom where I share tailored, professional materials and notes. You can access these anytime to practice and review, a feature my long-term students especially appreciate!
Qualified & Safe: I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Turkish Teaching and a specialized certificate in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language. I also previously held a Permission to Teach (PTT) from the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
My Approach
I believe that structure and consistency are key to learning a language. I don’t just teach grammar; I help you understand how the language actually works in daily life. I have many students who started with me in my first year and are still continuing their lessons today, as we constantly evolve the material to match their progress.
Ready to start? Send me a message to discuss your goals and get access to your Google Classroom. I look forward to helping you reach your language learning goals!

Perfect! Berfin has been the perfect tutor! Learning as an adult is not easy but she is so patient and accomodating to my stay at home mum busy lifestyle. After only a few months I have learnt so much and feel much more equipped to continue my learning Turkish journey. Her language knowledge is sophisticated and she is able to answer all my detail oriented nerdy questions. I am truly grateful to have found her.
