About JP
Originally The Smiley Face and the Frown Entertainment Group based out of Hollywood, CA, the company and its founding members sought to provide platforms to performing artists to help gain experience in their chosen fields for future success. Now located in the Central Valley, co-founder and Artistic Director, JP Rapozo, brings his knowledge and successes to train a new generation of performers. Whether you're looking to hire a director for a show, looking to begin training, wanting to improve your presentational technique, or preparing to audition for colleges, JP is the go to guy to help guide you. Rapozo is an award winning producer, director, writer, and performer with credits that include Off-Broadway in New York along with numerous theatrical groups in Los Angeles, CA. Master of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts (Los Angeles/New York).

I like to observe what the performers natural instincts are and then strengthen their technique from there. I do not believe in tearing people down to only rebuild them into something that does not come natural. Positivity and honesty goes a long way.
