Shara is a talented writer, producer and actor. I first met her when I cast her in my first indie short film and what a dream she was to work with. She came with a fully formulated character and had great comedic timing. Because I now was hooked on filmmaking, I needed to learn the producing end of the business. I discovered that Shara had produced several projects and that she was teaching a class on how to be a producer. Just what I needed, since I wanted to make more films. She took the mystery out of crowd funding and producing and gave practical steps to achieve both.

Shara worked with my son in preparation for an audition. He is relatively new to acting, and was nervous about the audition. Shara has a warm personality and a good sense of humor. She easily engaged him and got him feeling more comfortable. She brought him from just reading the words to genuinely emotionally connecting with the character and the material, and also focusing in on technical aspects of performing a monologue. She also prepared him for what the audition would be like and helped him get used to introducing himself and his piece. When he went to his audition, he was confident and really enjoyed himself! My son described her as "encouraging" and "helpful," and said that "her acting 'tricks' really helped me a lot!"

My daughter liked that Shara set rules but she's not strict and that she's always open to ideas. I think Shara helped her grow into a confident and happy girl who knows a ton about theater.
