About Minh
I have been tutoring students since 2012 and worked at Mathnasium of West Hartford (2015-2017) working with plenty of great students before starting my own tutoring business. After gaining so much experience from not only Mathasium but also Hartford Youth Scholars (HYS) and Liberty Partnership Program in Poughkeepsie, I have gained a deep passion for working with students and helping them gain knowledge in areas they aren't as comfortable with. My students love working with me and learning under my instruction. I make learning math, chemistry, and biology very fun and interactive. I have worked with students from all different backgrounds from underprivileged to more affluent, to all different races.
Not only am I skilled in teaching math, but I am also strong in teaching Chemistry and Biology at the AP level. As a former student taking AP Biology and AP Chemistry, I know how hard and rigorous those classes are and have personal experience in what it takes to succeed. After taking a full year's worth of both classes, I was able to master the material and gain a 5 in both AP Exams. Getting a 5 is not easy, but I know what it takes to get there and have helped many of my students get high scores! After finishing out high school, I attended Marist College, where I earned my B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. This is where my knowledge of Chemistry and Biology expanded and I would like to share my knowledge with you or your child!
My goals are to not only help your child learn, but also for them to enjoy learning it and look forward to gaining more knowledge. Learning with me is very rewarding, and my clients love working with me.

What I enjoy most from tutoring students is that "ah-ha!" moment, where they suddenly get and understand something they struggled to understand before. It suddenly all clicks and when all the pieces of the puzzle are put together, it gives me a feeling of euphoria that is extremely hard to replicate.
That "ah-ha!" moment is what makes my week go and is what makes tutoring so rewarding. For me, knowing that my students gain so much more knowledge after leaving the session than before the session started is what continually keeps me going and motivates me to be the best tutor/instructor possible
This is why I love tutoring.
After earning the maxiumum score of 5 in both the AP Biology and AP Chemistry Exams, I chose to attend Marist College where I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Science with a minor in Chemistry.
Taking full-year courses in AP Chem/Bio and furthering my studies in the natural sciences at Marist have expanded my knowledge and given me the necessary knowledge to teach courses like AP Chem & AP Biology.
My training at Mathnasium of West Hartford, in addition to the previous organizations that I've tutored at, has given me the skills necessary to make tutoring fun and educational at the same time. I am very comfortable working with children, teens, and college students and love sharing my knowledge to others!

It’s a hard course in general, and it just happened to be a bit more difficult for me. He is also friendly as a person and gave me advice on colleges, tests, and managing time with APs in high school. His availability and quick response time made it easy to schedule times to meet throughout the year, which was useful for last-minute review sessions before unit tests. I was having a rough time with the challenging material, but with Minh's help I eventually got a passing score on the AP exam. Overall, very knowledgeable and friendly tutor!
