About Komal
Along with my three years of tutoring experience in math with high school and college, being a student myself lets me keep up with the changing techniques of the way mathematics is taught in school. Having received top grades in all my math classes as well as taking double math courses I can help you understand and comprehend in the easiest ways. As a college student, not only am I in tune with what teachers expect but also how work is to be done.

I enjoy the moment after assisting a student where they finally have their aha moment as they understand a concept. As a student, I know how frustrating it is to feel like you're the only one in class who doesn't understand a subject, so it is my pleasure to help someone reach that confidence.
I started teaching when I was a high school student. I tutored middle school students in math and English. Then during my senior year of high school, I was a college essay and algebra tutor for sophomore and junior high school students. The last year I have been an algebra 1 and 2 as well as a Calculus tutor for high school students.
I am currently in my third year of college at UT Dallas where I am pursuing my bachelors in accounting. I have three years of related tutoring experience in math, with a concentration in algebra and calculus. As well as one year of classroom experience in elementary school mathematics.

My typical process is asking them where they feel they get confused when being taught new material. Some students understand and learn in different ways so my approach is to figure out what works best for them. Furthermore, I try and ask them questions and have them explain concepts back to me to ensure they not only understand how to do it but the application of the concept.
I have worked with students from K-12 as well as early college. I have also tutored students in my own classes.
I would advise the student to be committed in doing the work and realizing that it doesn't happen in a day. I would want them to know that it's okay if they don't get it the first time and that's why I am here to help.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would want them to think about how much time and effort they are wiling to contribute. More importantly I would want them to know that this is a process and they can't expect instantaneous results.
