About Dana
I am a current special education teacher for grades 6-8, ELA. Previously, I taught mathematics, phonics, and guided reading to elementary aged students. Before my professional career, I was a writing and test prep tutor for my college's tutoring center. I approach tutoring by assessing what each individual needs. We will start each lesson with a review of previously taught material, then move into a new lesson with practice to end each session. Each session will be student-focused, meaning the student has autonomy to decide what they need help with and which approach works best for their learning.
