Tom is an excellent bagpipe teacher and very clear in his explanations and demonstrations. He is kind and encouraging as well as being firm and supportive. Tom has a great sense of humour and lessons with him are fun but full of hard work and you always come away feeling you have achieved something as well as having had a great time.

My son started with Tom at the age of 6, 6 years later he is winning competitions and still very much enjoys his lessons with Tom.

Tom Johnstone is a superb teacher and without doubt a absolute Gentleman. Lessons with him are tailored to the students abilities and are never boring. In one word “excellent”.
